In 2023 our founder left a career as a financial analyst in New Zealand and returned to Hong Kong to start Moonbase. Years working across markets—and serving institutional clients—revealed the same problem: skilled analysts were spending their days on repetitive data work, fragile spreadsheets, and inflexible legacy tools.

He saw AI as an opportunity to change that dynamic.
